Meet our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Robin Adair Shannon: 

Dr. Robin Adair Shannon is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the School Nurse Certificate Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Nursing. Robin is a Nationally Certified School Nurse, an Advanced Public Health Nurse-Board Certified, and holds an Illinois Professional Educator License in School Nursing. She has been a school nurse since 1999 and has served all grade levels from early childhood through high school. Robin is privilege to be a co-editor with Drs. Janice Selekman and Cathy Yonkaitis for NASN’s School Nursing: A Comprehensive Textbook (3rd ed.). She developed NASN’s Model for Developing EBP Clinical Practice Guidelines for School Nursing. Robin serves as a co-chair of NASN’s Consortium of School Nurses Educators and as a director on the National Board for Certification of School Nurses. Robin received the NASN President’s Recognition Award and was named NASN Outstanding School Nurse Educator in 2019.

This educational activity is being jointly provided by the Alaska Nurses Association and the Alaska School Nurses Association. The Alaska Nurses Association (AaNA) is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation. Contact hours will be awarded for participation in this activity (up to 17 contact hours).

Conference Refund and Cancellation Policy - Any cancellation will be assessed a $25 fee. If ASNA receives notification of cancellation via email or phone on or before April 12nd, 2020 a refund less the cancellation fee will be provided.

No refunds for cancellation after April 12th, 2020.
