Optional 3.0 CE Independent Activity – ASNA Spring Conference

“The Anxious Generation,”
by Jonathan Haidt

This book, published in 2024, gained worldwide attention by revealing the impact of smartphones and social media on the mental health of school age children. Author Jonathan Haidt received his PhD in social psychology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992.  He taught for 16 years at the University of Virginia, and now is Thomas Cooley Professor of Ethical Leadership at New York University’s Stern School of Business.


The Requirements for 3 CEs will be:

  1. Read the book before the conference (Apr 24-25, 2026). Plan accordingly, this book is approx. 400 pages. 
  2. At the conference, complete and submit a set of answers to follow-up questions on what you have learned from reading the book.

  Details

  1. This 3 CE activity is being offered to make a total of 15 CEs available at the ASNA School Nurses Spring Conference.  This will enable nurses to use all 15 CEs as part of their qualification for a Type C Certificate.
  2. This 3 CE activity MUST be completed by the end of Conference Day 2.
  3. If you do not wish to participate in this activity, you will still be able to obtain 12 CEs from the conference. To obtain a 12 CE certificate, you MUST attend both days of the conference.
