Attention elementary and middle school nurses encourage your asthmatic students with food allergies to attend the Peninsula Puffers Asthma Camp in June. Application deadline May 15.

ASTHMA CAMP
"in the woods with wheezers"
  
WHO: Boys and Girls ages 8 to 14 with asthma. Asthmatic children with food allergies are encouraged to attend. Preference will be given to children who take daily medication for asthma.
Space is limited to 30 children
 
WHEN: Sunday June 3 to Friday June 8, 2018. Deadline to apply: May 15.
 
WHERE: Camp Fire USA Camp K in beautiful Cooper Landing.
Bus transportation provided from Central Peninsula Hospital and Camp Fire USA Anchorage
  
The Camp Medical Director is Board Certified Pediatrician Jodi Butto.  The volunteer medical team of physicians, nurses and respiratory therapists are available 24 hours a day to attend to routine and emergency medical health needs.

Archery
Nature Awareness
Games
Campers will also participate in a float trip with the Alaska Rivers Company 
  
Asthma Education: Each day, campers will participate in asthma education led by the volunteer medical team. The curriculum will include components from the AAFA Power Breathing Program and the AAFA ACT Program.

  •  Asthma Myths and Facts
  •  Medication Awareness
  •  Social Issues of Being a Kid with Asthma

 COST:

$230.00 per child.
