Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) received a six-year reauthorization!

Posted about 6 years ago by Annette Johansen

Dear NASN Leaders,

As you may know, after going over three months without being reauthorized, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) received a six-year reauthorization as part of the latest Continuing Resolution.  I want to thank you all of you for the many calls, emails, and tweets to Congress, that you did on behalf of children and to ensure the continuity of this important program that provides millions with health insurance.

Thank you for using 'Your Voice' to explain that as a school nurse, you know firsthand how important CHIP is for children and their families.  You keep our children safe, healthy and ready to learn.

Again, thank you for advocating for and using your voice on behalf of children.

Sincerely,
Nina
