2020 ASNA Conference Cancellation - Fairbanks, Alaska

Posted about 5 years ago by Annette Johansen

The ASNA Board recently held a special meeting to discuss the status of our annual conference. In accordance with the latest Health Alert protocol from the office of Governor Mike Dunleavy and after much deliberation and disappointment, your ASNA Board has reached the decision to cancel this year's conference.

The Fairbanks Conference coordinators Laura Grage and Theresa Smith have done a wonderful job in obtaining great speakers while AaNA planned on providing CEs and much more. To date, we had 74-attendees registered, which would have been an all-time high for the Fairbanks hosted event.

We are looking into the possibility of hosting a mini-conference via zoom and providing some CEs. In addition, we will be posting other links for CE opportunities. Look for more details to be announced soon.

All attendees will be refunded their registration fee minus $10 due to the gateway credit card charges and ticketing fees. However, we are working with our vendor as they consider waiving these fees also.

Please remember to cancel any hotel and airline reservations as soon as possible. The number for Pike's Waterfront Lodge is 907-479-6500.

* We are accepting nominations for a Vice President and a President-elect. Please contact Kathy Easley, ASNA President-elect, if you have any questions or concerns.
