Posted almost 3 years ago by Annette Johansen
Thank you to those who voted in the ASNA Board Officers' Election.
Today, I have the privilege to announce our new ASNA board members for the 2022-23 school year. We had wonderful candidates who have stepped up and will be great for our organization and school nurses across our state.
Incoming President is Sonja Mack, BSN, RN, NCSN, she is the school nurse for the Mat-Su Career and Technical High School in the Mat-Su Valley. She will bring great expertise to our board. She worked tirelessly on the contact hours approval and speakers for the recent ASNA conference. Sonja is eager to bring more educational opportunities to school nurses.
Incoming President-elect is Holly Rauchenstein BSN, RN, NCSN, she is an elementary school nurse from the Mat-su as well and was the chair for the 2022 ASNA School Nurse conference. Holly noted that "we have an important opportunity to demonstrate to our communities our role in their children's health and education," and will be a great addition to ASNA's board.
Incoming Vice President is Laurel Andrews BSN, RN, she is the Lake Hood elementary school nurse in Anchorage. Laurel is the 2022 School Nurse of Excellence awardee and she is excited to work with our board to further promote school nursing.
I want to congratulate them all and say thank you for their time and interest, I know they will be great leaders for ASNA.
Thank you for allowing me to serve as your ASNA Interim President.
Kathleen Easley, BSN, RN, NCSN
