This position will be filled either in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau or Wasilla, depending on the location of the selected applicant.
Anchorage and Wasilla Biweekly salary is $3,573.00, Fairbanks Biweekly salary is $3,680.25, Juneau Biweekly salary is $3,751.50.
What you will be doing:
The Section of Women's, Children’s, and Family Health (WCFH) is seeking an experienced and licensed registered nurse with school nursing experience to provide consultation and technical assistance to health care professionals working in schools and school districts and also to school districts without school nurses. This position independently researches and evaluates best practice in the provision of services for school-aged children, school nursing, and evaluates the provision of school nursing services in schools across the State regarding COVID-19 and in-person learning. This position will also provide guidance related to health issues in school age children, including those with chronic health conditions (e.g. asthma, diabetes, and seizures), adverse childhood events, and emotional responses regarding coping with changes related to COVID-19.

The working environment you can expect:
This position is located at 3601 C Street in midtown Anchorage, Alaska. Currently, Section employees have the option to teleworking on a part-time basis and stay connected through multiple virtual platforms. There is flexibility in the number of hours worked per week in this position, ranging from part-time to full-time employment.
