Learn about diabetes basics and how to care for the school aged child living with type 1 diabetes. Topics covered will include survival skills, everything needed to safely transition a newly diagnosed student back to the school setting, including an overview of current therapies and insulin pumps.

Christine Lally, RN. CDCES is a registered nurse and certified diabetes educator working at The Robert I. Grossman, MD and Elizabeth J. Cohen, MD Pediatric Diabetes Center at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone. Christine has a background in critical care nursing and serves as the school liaison for NYU Pediatric Diabetes Center, offering diabetes education and support to school nurses and staff in NYC and surrounding areas.
