How often does a girl come into your office with period cramps or stomachaches? With other GI symptoms? Headaches? Fatigue?

DID YOU KNOW that ALL of these things can be symptoms of endometriosis?

To celebrate International Women’s Day and Endometriosis Awareness Month, NASN is partnering with Below the Belt to offer free access to the groundbreaking PBS film and accompanying Endometriosis Toolkit. Also available is the opportunity to earn 3.5 CEU Contact Hours from Northeastern University.

WHY THIS MATTERS?

Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 girls, yet takes an average of 8 doctors & 10 years to diagnose. If girls were diagnosed when their symptoms first began, it would be revolutionary. School nurses can play a pivotal role in recognizing symptoms.
