School Nurse Role in Youth Suicide Prevention

Title of the Study: The Role of the School Nurse in Prevention of Suicide in Children and Adolescents

The purpose of this study is to better understand the role of the school nurse in the prevention of suicide in children and adolescents. School-based suicide prevention programs often exclude school nurses. A national study is being conducted to better understand district/school-level practices that include or exclude school nurses. NASN is the sponsor of this very important survey. To participate, click here to complete a 10-minute survey or scan the QR code.

By responding, you can have a significant impact on advocating for inclusivity of school nurses in school-based suicide prevention programs.
School nurses who participate will enter a drawing to receive a 1-year NASN membership.
