ASNA Board Officer Candidate Positions Are OPEN (Treasurer, Secretary, President-Elect, NASN Director)

The Alaska School Nurses Association Board Officer candidate nominations are open for Treasurer, Secretary, President-Elect, and NASN Director. Treasurer, Secretary, and President-Elect are 2-year terms, effective June 1st, 2025.  President-Elect serves as one year as President-Elect, followed by one year as President.  The NASN Director is a 4-year term, effective January of 2026. 

The ASNA Board meets monthly by zoom August to May of each school year. Volunteering within ASNA is a rewarding experience, which takes nursing leadership to the next level.  Amazing professional connections are made, not to mention working with a great group of nurses on the ASNA Board and committees.

 Electronic Election ballots will be sent by email shortly after the nomination submission deadline to all active ASNA members to have the opportunity to vote for the next Treasurer, Secretary, President-Elect, and NASN Director.

Board Officer-Candidate Nomination Information

The Alaska School Nurses Association (ASNA) is always looking for school nurses who are interested in leadership and becoming involved in their organization. Please review the qualifications and complete the candidate data form to run for one of our open board positions.

Qualifications for ASNA Office:

  1. Be a current Active ASNA/NASN member who is working in the field of school nursing.

  2. Who has been a member of ASNA/NASN for no less than one year immediately prior to nomination.

  3. Be a current Active member of your affiliate association.

  4. ASNA/NASN members may self-nominate by completing the full application packet.
