Kick off the new school year with the first session of our School Health ECHO series!

 

Join us as State of Alaska experts provide essential updates and practical guidance on public health, immunization, and share updates on upcoming professional development opportunities this fall.

 

Learn how to keep yourself and your school community safe and healthy as the new school year begins!

 

The School Health ECHO is a free, virtual learning network intended for professionals in the education setting (administrators, school-based nurses, etc.) to interface with a team of medical and education experts in Alaska. This series is focused on health considerations, answering questions related to educational and school settings, and establishing a safe school environment.

Series Schedule

 

Each 60-minute session will be held every on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 2:30-3:30pm AKST and will typically include a didactic presentation along with an open discussion facilitated by an interdisciplinary team of professionals and family members.

Certification & Credits

This series offers the following contact hours:

·    (AMA) Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA) Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

·    Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP): 1 contact hour/session

·    American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) continuing nursing education: 1 contact hour/session

·    Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB): 1 contact hour/session

School Health ECHO 

 This series is intended for Teachers, School Nurses, Social Workers, Medical Providers, Registered Nurses, Public Health Officials, School Administrators, School Counselors and Therapists, All Professionals in the Education Setting.

 

Each session will include public health announcements and updates, a brief presentation followed by Q&A, and guided discussion or case presentation as an integral part of the learning experience.
