Apply Now: NBCSN 2026 Scholarship Program – Deadline October 1st

The NBCSN 2026 Scholarship Program is now accepting applications through October 1, 2025. This program provides financial support to school nurses who:

• Come from historically marginalized backgrounds or serve historically marginalized school populations.
• Meet eligibility requirements for the Certification Exam for School Nurses and plan to test in 2026.

Each scholarship recipient will receive a voucher that covers:

• Application fee for the Certification Exam for School Nurses
• School Nurse Certification Review Book (digital or print)
• NCSN Practice Exam Bundle

Applicant requirements include:

• RN license and proof of degree (BSN or higher in nursing, or master’s in education with a concentration in school nursing/school health)
• At least 1,000 hours of school nursing practice in the past 3 years
• A brief personal statement (300 words or less) describing why you are pursuing certification, how your background or experience informs your practice, and how you plan to contribute to the diversity of school nursing
• Documentation of outreach to your NBCSN State Liaison-Patricia Barker, BSN, RN, NCSN Barker_Patricia@asdk12.org (a copy of your email is sufficient).  

Key Dates:

• Application Due Date: October 1, 2025
• Notification: November 15, 2025
• Testing: Spring, Summer, or Fall 2026
