This session features real experiences and insights on nicotine use in rural communities from two students from Iliamna, Alaska.

Join us to learn why young people in rural Alaska are vulnerable to nicotine use as they face unique challenges such as stress, limited resources, and the influence of adult nicotine use and explore practical solutions like education, mentorship, and healthy outlets.

This presentation will also include highlights from nicotine and tobacco research, national trends, and actionable steps schools and communities can take to support prevention. Plus, hear about the most popular nicotine product among youth in Iliamna.
