Fellow School Nurses - please send the attached flyer home with asthmatic children before April 15. This is a great opportunity for parents to get information for free. The class is free to all and lunch will be provided and parking is free in the hospital garage.

AAFA is offering an asthma training from 9am to 1pm on Saturday, April 15th.
Participants will receive a $100 gift card for full attendance .
You must be 18 or older to register for the session. Registration will be limited to 20.

It will be an overview of asthma as well as a training to teach folks how to look at available research. It is a patient centered research class and their goal is to empower patients to participate in their own care or the care of their children.

IN THIS INTERACTIVE TRAINING, YOU WILL LEARN ABOUT

  • Asthma management
  • Clinical research and clinical research process
  • Patient‐centered outcomes research
  • How to become involved in research at different levels
  • How to read and understand research articles

The presenter is Gwen Carlton DNP, APN from the Unv of Tennessee, School of Nursing. We are attempting to populate the class with a mix of providers and parents.

If you have any questions or would like assistance registering, please contact: Sarah Young at sarah@aafa.org or call AAFA AK at 349‐0637.
